Cumberland recently took possession of a third new Freightliner Casscadia Semi Truck to complete the upgrade of its shipping fleet. Cumberland now has 8 new trucks along with its 49 trailers to be able to service our customers. With a 95% on time delivery rating and 8 experienced drivers Cumberland is well positioned to make “Just in Time” deliveries.

Adding to its fleet is a new 2021 Ford Transit Van to make smaller deliveries. It is complete with a bulkhead protection plate and easy to use conveyor system in the back to make loading and unloading simple.

Cumberland Container expanded its shipping fleet with the addition of two new Freightliner Cascadia tractors.  This increase brings its total shipping capabilities to 8 tractors outfitted with electronic logging and GPS, one box truck for smaller deliveries, more than 50 trailers and a team of expert drivers who all have over 20 years of driving experience.  The new Cascadia trucks are the first in Cumberland’s fleet to have automatic transmission and were purchased with the full array of the most advance safety technology. The new trucks complete the almost total replacement and upgrade of Cumberland’s fleet in less than 4 years.

“Getting our customers their packaging safely and on-time is very important to us,” said Phillip Key, shipping manager.  “Our management continues investing in our shipping capacity because on-time delivery is an investment in our customers’ success. Cumberland enjoys a 96%+ on time shipping record."
